fromwherewestand2012: 8/366 (shesaidthings) — January 8, 2012  Supported some of the FASA boys at their basketball in Landsdowne with JRo. Spent a majority of the day just playing Tetris. Ended the night giving Cocoa a bath. Chill sunday.  to everyone that followed me on my past project 365… i’m starting a new one this year called #fromwhereistand… follow the new blog :]

Taken: December 4, 2011 headed to Burtonsville today to check out a potential daschund puppy with stef and paula. got to the breeder… and immediately fell in love. needless to say, i am now a proud mommy of this 11-week daschund puppy.  …everyone, meet Cocoa Chanel.

Taken: December 3, 2011 Today was all sorts of lovely. Stef and I went to different pet stores to look for potential puppies. Fell in love with an English bulldog that was 3.5K :( we named him Wrinkes but that’s as far as we got.  Then at night… it was Semi-Formal for D6 at College Park. had a blast and a half :] UMBC killed it on their modern piece. so so proud of them.  Overall, it was a good day.

Taken: November 29, 2011 Tuesday night means 45 cent wings at BWW. Stef and I had a date night… bought our semi-formal dresses, and then treated ourselves to some froyo for a successful dress hunting night.

overall, today was a very productive day with stef  church in the morning mall to find a semi dress (and failed)  five guys for lunch annual eye exam  scored a really good deal on some ray bans prescription glasses… i can see the world so much clearer now.  target to buy a dresser for $10.99 (supposed to be $30.99 but was marked wrong)  nap time grocery shopped  cleaned the apartment (at least the living room, kitchen and bathroom… bedroom will be later on..) stef had e-board, i hung out …and now stef is attempting to put together the dresser we bought.

Taken: November 26, 2011  lani was in town and i haven’t seen her in a year since she got transferred to california… and tonya and i seem to only see each other once every year (but in this case, it was 2)… drove back from ocean city, hit up stef’s tournament in college park for a little bit with tonya, and then trekked to dc to meet up with lani for a hot second. back to college park just in time to see stef’s team with the tournament. a very tiring but awesome day.

I used to shoot my daily life with a Canon PowerShot SD 780 IS but since that recently just died, I got myself a Canon PowerShot ELPH 300 HS… And if I’m up to bringing it places, I carry my Nikon D90.

november 25, 2011 “old and new canons”  i finally got myself a new point and shoot after mine went out of commission earlier this summer. it’s been such a pain carrying my big, heavy nikon d90 around… so i haven’t. me not carrying a camera anywhere has resulted in little to no photos as of late. i guess that was part of the thing missing in my life. i’ve been so used to documenting every aspect of my life, and when that is suddenly taken away from me, it feels like a big part of it was missing. sounds dramatic, but that’s exactly how it feels. i’ve done project 365 for 2 years in a row… and this has been the first year i haven’t… and it felt… weird. yes, it felt good to have that pressure off not taking pictures daily… but in a weird way, i actually lived for that pressure. with a new camera to take with me everywhere, it’s time to re-start project 365. i will officially be starting january 1st.. but will be posting pictures here from time to time again. let’s see how this works out…  thanks for everyone who has continued to follow this blog regardless of me not posting for nearly 8 months.

“old and new canons”

taken: january 28, 2011  went to 300 bowling for kat’s 21st birthday last night. didn’t bowl but had a bunch to drink. after everything that’s happened, i feel like i was the one that turned 21.  needless to say, today was my recovery day. i could barely move, and the bathroom was my best friend for the majority of the day.  never again…
